PixelWalker is a fast image browser.

PixelWalker is a fast and easy to use image browser. It has few features, but essential to this kind of software. PixelWalker was also designed not to consume many of your resources.

First thing you notice is its unique but efficient image browsing. You can browse images by 'file names', 'thumbnails and images', 'only thumbnails' and 'only images'. The image can be shown in 'actual size', 'fit', 'fit width' , 'scale down' and 'zoom'. For quick image options you get only 'rotate' and 'zoom' . As a drawback, if you choose "fit", the image will be shown on the left. It would have been better If I could choose between left, right or center. If you want to change the folder you have to switch from current view to 'file names'.

If you want to see the image with more details or edit it, PixelWalker doesn't have anything of it's own, so double-click the image to open it in the default image browser (apple preview). For editing, you will open your chosen image editor. There's also a "show in finder" option for those who want more.

PixelWalker supports the most common image file formats and "pdf". You can exclude files bigger than a custom size of your choice. This way is sure that everything will work as fast as possible.

Pluses: simple, fast and easy to use.

Drawbacks / flaws: more features would be welcome.

In conclusion: If you are looking for a fast way to browse your images and you got tired of customizing each folder, than PixelWalker might do the job.
